New Delhi, Apr 20: Suresh Sethi, who quit Protean eGov Technologies as its Chief Executive last month, has been appointed as the India Country Head of Visa.

He will take over from Sandeep Ghosh, who left the company after more than four years to pursue an external opportunity.

“Visa has appointed Suresh Sethi as Group Country Manager for India and South Asia, effective 27 April 2026. Suresh is a tenured leader with 30 years of leadership experience across the financial sector,” said a statement issued by the company.

Sethi brings with him extensive experience spanning global corporate banking, retail financial services, mobile money and large-scale government technology initiatives.

He began his career at Citigroup, where he spent 14 years working across India, Africa, South America, and the United States within the transaction banking services division.

The leadership transition comes as Visa intensifies its focus on digital payments and looks to deepen partnerships across India and the wider South Asia region. (BVI)
