Texmaco Rail Secures ₹187.37 Crore Orders From Kochi Metro and Vedanta Aluminium
New Delhi, May 09: Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has secured new orders worth a combined ₹187.37 crore from Kochi Metro Rail Limited and Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited, strengthening the company’s presence in both urban transport infrastructure and industrial rail logistics.
The Kolkata-headquartered company, part of the Adventz Group, received a Letter of Award valued at ₹130.22 crore from Kochi Metro Rail Limited for ballastless track works under Phase 2 of the Kochi Metro project.
Kochi Metro Phase 2 Order
The contract includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of ballastless track systems for the elevated corridor between JLN Stadium and Infopark stations. The project is expected to improve connectivity to major commercial and IT hubs in Kochi and further strengthen the city’s urban mobility infrastructure.
Sudipta Mukherjee said the order reflects the company’s growing capabilities in handling technically advanced metro rail infrastructure projects and aligns with its strategic focus on urban transportation solutions.
The Kochi Metro project is scheduled for completion within 16 months.
Vedanta Aluminium Order
Texmaco has also secured a capital expenditure purchase order worth ₹57.15 crore from Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited. The contract highlights the company’s expertise in delivering specialised rolling stock and industrial rail logistics solutions designed for heavy industrial operations.
According to the company, the order reflects increasing demand for efficient bulk logistics infrastructure amid expansion in India’s metals and mining sectors.
Expanding Presence Across Rail and Infrastructure
Texmaco said the new contracts strengthen its diversified order book spanning freight cars, rail infrastructure, green energy, and electrical infrastructure businesses.
The company continues to focus on supporting India’s railway modernisation, urban mobility expansion, and industrial logistics transformation through technology-driven engineering solutions.
