Nykaa reports 226% net profit in First Quarter of Current Financial Year
New Delhi, Aug 5: FSN Ecommerce Ventures, the parent company of beauty and lifestyle platform Nykaa, has reported a 226 per cent year-on-year (YoY) jump in its consolidated net profit in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
Net profit rose to Rs 79.76 crore in Q1FY27 from Rs 24.47 crore in Q1FY26.
The financial results of the company showed that the consolidated gross merchandise value (GMV) rose 34 per cent YoY to Rs 5,590 crore.
Revenue from operations grew 29 per cent YoY to Rs 2,782 crore.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) grew 68 per cent to Rs 236 crore, the company said, adding that the Ebitda margins expanded to 8.5 per cent from 6.5 per cent during the same period.
“This quarter marked continued acceleration in our growth momentum and Ebitda margins, both reaching their highest levels in the last 12 quarters. Our AI-led initiatives are beginning to create meaningful consumer experiences, with virtual closet already driving 2x higher conversion and AskNykaa, our conversational search engine, emerging as a trusted beauty advisor on the platform,” stated Falguni Nayar, Executive Chairperson, Founder and CEO, Nykaa.
Nykaa’s beauty vertical GMV for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 4,105 crore.
This includes performance across businesses of ecommerce, retail stores, eB2B distribution and the House of Nykaa Beauty portfolio.
NSV growth came in at 29 per cent YoY this quarter, accelerating from the mid-20s growth recorded over the past few quarters.
Nykaa Now has expanded to 13 cities and will reach over 25 cities by the end of FY27.
The company expanded its beauty retail footprint to 324 stores across 105 cities, with total retail space increasing 29 per cent YoY to around 3.3 lakh square feet.
During the quarter, Nykaa also unveiled its largest-ever Nykaa Luxe store at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, spanning over 5,000 square feet.
House of Nykaa continued to scale rapidly during the quarter, achieving an annualised GMV run rate of approximately Rs 3,758 crore, reflecting 39 per cent YoY growth, standing at Rs 550 crore NSV for Q1FY27, a 36 per cent YoY NSV growth.
Fashion delivered a standout quarter, with GMV increasing 53 per cent YoY to Rs 1,471 crore and NSV increasing 54 per cent YoY to Rs 451 crore while delivering meaningful profitability improvement.
Ebitda margin (as a percentage of NSV) expanded from -6.2 per cent in Q1FY26 to 0.1 per cent in Q1FY27.
