New Delhi, Aug 4: The latest Hollywood movie ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ recorded an exceptional opening weekend in India, grossing over Rs 134 crore at Box Office Collections.
Announcing this, cinema exhibition company PVR INOX Limited said the response highlights the continued demand for premium cinema experiences across India.
Across PVR INOX cinemas pan-India, the film welcomed nearly 3 million moviegoers at an average occupancy of 60% since its release, the company said in a statement.
It set the tone for a weekend that built steadily on the back of strong audience demand across metros as well as Tier II and Tier III markets.
Featuring Tom Holland reprising his iconic role alongside Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon
Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo, Spider-Man: Brand New Day combines
emotional storytelling with spectacular action and breathtaking visual scale.
The film struck a chord with audiences across generations, from lifelong Spider-Man and Marvel fans to younger moviegoers discovering the franchise in premium formats, resulting in strong family audiences, repeat viewership and consistently high occupancies throughout the opening weekend.
