What Is CUET-UG?

The Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate programmes, commonly known as CUET-UG, was introduced in 2022 as a standardised admission test for Central universities, state universities, and several participating private institutions across India.

The examination was launched to replace multiple university-level entrance exams and create a single, uniform platform for undergraduate admissions.

Purpose Of CUET Under NEP 2020

CUET-UG evaluates candidates on:

  • Language proficiency
  • Domain-specific subjects
  • General aptitude skills

The examination aligns with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which aims to promote equal opportunities, inclusivity, and a more streamlined higher education admission process across the country.
