HDLC Life Insurance acquires shares worth Rs 153 crore in Motilal Oswal Financial Services

New Delhi, June 9: HDFC Life Insurance Company has acquired shares worth Rs 153 crore in Motilal Oswal Financial Services..

According to block deal data, HDFC Life purchased 18.2 lakh shares, representing 0.3 per cent of Motilal Oswal Financial Services’ equity, for Rs 153.3 crore at a price of Rs 842.5 per share.

The shares were sold by Motilal Oswal Healthcare Foundation and Motilal Oswal Foundation, which offloaded 3.65 lakh shares worth Rs 30.75 crore and 14.55 lakh shares worth Rs 122.58 crore, respectively.

On the other hand, HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company nearly exited its investment in Cera Sanitaryware by selling 1.5 lakh shares, or 1.16 per cent equity, for Rs 82.2 crore.

The insurer held 1.51 lakh shares, or 1.17 per cent stake, in the company as of March 2026.

The transactions in Cera Sanitaryware were executed at Rs 5,480 per share.

In a separate transaction, promoter entity Trilochan Singh Sahney Trust 1 sold 43.7 lakh shares, or 4.5 per cent equity, in NRB Bearings for Rs 170.43 crore through bulk deals.

Singapore-based Arohi Asset Management emerged as the buyer, with its funds including Iroha Emerging India Fund-I, Arohi Emerging Asia Master Fund and Arohi Emerging India Master Fund acquiring the shares at Rs 390 apiece.

Goldman Sachs Funds, through Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio, acquired 1.18 lakh shares, equivalent to a 0.9 per cent stake, for Rs 64.92 crore.
