Juniper Green Energy Commissions India’s Largest Wind Turbine
NEW DELHI, June 25: In a major milestone for India’s clean energy landscape, renewable energy independent power producer Juniper Green Energy Limited has announced the successful commissioning of the country’s largest wind turbine by rotor diameter.
The record-breaking project features Envision’s advanced EN-182 wind turbine generator (WTG), boasting a massive 5 MW capacity and an unprecedented 181-meter rotor diameter.
Overcoming Massive Logistical Challenges
The scale of deploying these massive turbines required extensive planning and engineering precision. According to Juniper Green Energy CEO Ankush Malik, the installation presented severe logistical hurdles, specifically in the transport and handling of the turbine blades, which measure approximately 89 meters in length.
Despite these challenges, the company successfully installed a total of 51 Envision EN-182 turbines across multiple project locations in a tight window of just six months.
Expanding Wind Portfolio Across Gujarat and Rajasthan
The newly commissioned 5 MW turbine is part of a broader wind energy expansion. As of June 22, 2026, Juniper Green Energy has successfully commissioned 82 MW of wind power capacity distributed across key states:

The deployment of these highly efficient, large-rotor turbines is engineered to capture higher energy yields, bolstering power efficiency to further support India’s national clean energy transition.
Diversifying India’s Green Grid
The achievement closely follows Juniper Green Energy’s recent operational expansions, which include:
