New Delhi, Aug 10: Jindal India Power Limited has signed a pact with SANY Wind Energy India Private Limited for supply of 160 MW Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs).

The WTGs will form a key component Jindal India Power Limited’s 150 MW Round-the-Clock (RTC) renewable energy project awarded by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), which is being developed in Davanagere in Karnataka.

The Karnataka project involves combination of wind, solar and battery energy storage systems to deliver firm, reliable clean power on a round-the-clock basis.

By integrating these complementary technologies, the project is designed to address the variability associated with standalone renewable sources while ensuring a dependable supply of renewable energy.

The signing of the Term Sheet moves the project from the planning phase into execution and represents an important milestone in Jindal India Power’s renewable energy journey.

Recently, the company also signed a MoU with The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) for the procurement of high-quality coal from the Naini Coal Mine.

Jindal India Power Limited is a subsidiary of BC Jindal Group, which was founded in 1952 by BC Jindal. (BVI)
