Gillette India posts 9.44% increase in net profit

New Delhi, July 30: Gillette India reported a 9.44 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in its net profit in the first quarter of the current financial year.

The net profit rose to Rs 159. 45 crore in Q1FY27 from Rs 145.69 crore  in Q1FY26.

On a sequential basis, the company’s net profit dipped from Rs 192.51 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2026. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 783.02 crore in Q1FY27 from Rs 706.72 crore in Q1FY26. Revenue also came down on a sequential basis.

“We have delivered double-digit growth on topline in the quarter, along with delivering consistent bottom line performance. These results demonstrate the consistent execution of our integrated growth strategy, anchored in a focused portfolio, superiority (of product performance, packaging, brand communication, retail execution and value), productivity, constructive disruption and an empowered, agile organisation,” stated Kumar Venkatasubramanian, Managing Director, Gillette India.

The MD added that the company remains confident that its strategic priorities, combined with the strength of its brands and organisational capabilities, position it well to leverage future growth opportunities.

Segment-wise, grooming revenue rose to Rs 628.65 crore in Q1FY27 from Rs 576.93 crore in Q1FY26. Oral care also marked an uptick in its performance as revenue rose to Rs 154.37 crore in the recently concluded quarter from Rs 129.79 crore in Q1FY26. (BVI)
