Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max: Expected Launch and Release Timeline

0

New Delhi, May 03: Apple is widely expected to unveil its next-generation smartphones the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September, continuing its long-standing annual release pattern. Alongside these models, rumors suggest the debut of a new foldable device, possibly branded as the iPhone Ultra.

Likely Keynote Timing

Apple traditionally hosts its biggest product launch event in the first half of September, typically on a Tuesday or Wednesday. The company also avoids scheduling the keynote immediately after Labor Day.

In 2026, Labor Day falls on September 7, making Tuesday, September 8 unlikely. This leaves Wednesday, September 9, or the following week—September 15 or 16—as the most probable options. Based on past trends and consistency, September 9 appears to be the strongest candidate for the keynote event.

Expected Release Dates

Apple usually opens pre-orders shortly after the keynote, with official retail availability beginning the following Friday. Based on this pattern, the iPhone 18 Pro lineup could go on sale either on September 18 or September 25.

The earlier date September 18 seems more likely. However, if Apple introduces a foldable iPhone Ultra, it may arrive later than the Pro models due to more complex manufacturing requirements.

What to Expect

The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to bring incremental performance improvements, camera upgrades, and possible design refinements. The biggest highlight could be the introduction of a foldable iPhone, signaling Apple’s entry into a new product category.
