New Delhi, Apr 15: Vikram Solar, an Indian solar PV module manufacturing company, has claimed to have crossed 10 GW in cumulative global solar module deployments.

The company has doubled its cumulative deployments from 5 GW to 10 GW in just two years, it said.

Vikram Solar’s 10 GW is equivalent to over 25 million solar modules deployed globally and is enough to power over 5 million Indian homes, said a company statement.

A majority of deployments of Vikram Solar are in India and at the same time, it has steadily expanded its global footprint, with approximately 1.5 GW of exports contributing to its presence across 39 countries, the statement said.

From delivering the world’s first fully solarised airport in Cochin to commissioning early floating solar installations in India, the company has consistently been at the forefront of technology adoption.

“Crossing the 10 GW deployment milestone is not just a moment of pride for Vikram Solar, but also a reflection of how rapidly solar energy is reshaping the global energy landscape,” said Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director, Vikram Solar. (BVI)
