New Delhi, Feb 18: Qualcomm Ventures, the investment arm of Qualcomm Incorporated, will make an unspecified amount of funding to ToneTag, a deep-tech company, the latter said in a statement.
Rama Bethmangalkar, Senior Director of Qualcomm Technologies and Managing Director at Qualcomm Ventures India, said the investment would be for ToneTag’s work in the AI field.
“We’re proud to be part of ToneTag’s pioneering journey in digital payments, now foraying into the age of AI. ToneTag’s innovation combines powerful on-device AI with contextual intelligence, unlocking secure real-time payments across industries and devices,”Bethmangalkar said.
A key objective for ToneTag will be the development of AI-powered payment-capable modules designed and engineered in India, for global deployment, according to its statement.
By leveraging high-performance edge processing with real-time contextual awareness built on its innovative proximity protocol, ToneTag aims to transform everyday devices into intelligent, conversational, and payment-capable ecosystems.
