New Delhi, Nov 19 (BVI): The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has invited bids for the selection of a licensee to operate indoor and in-train advertisements across the Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor, offering a lucrative opportunity to partner with India’s first Namo Bharat.
The exclusive opportunity to advertise will not only offer brands extensive visibility but also the prestige of association with India’s first Namo Bharat, a new-age transport system redefining regional mobility in NCR.
NCRTC is a joint venture company of Government of India and the States of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and it is mandated with implementing the Namo Bharat project across the National Capital Region (NCR) ensuring a balanced and sustainable urban development through better connectivity and access.
The scope of the work, for which bids have been invited, covers approximately 1,800 sq mts of station indoor advertising space across key stations including Sarai Kale Khan (100 sq mts), Anand Vihar (100 sq mts ), Ghaziabad (100 sq mts), Modinagar North and South (100 sq mts each), Meerut Central (50 sq mts), Begumpul (100 sq mts), and Modipuram (100 sq mts).
In addition, provisions have been made for digital advertising screens at Sarai Kale Khan (50 sq mts), Anand Vihar (25 sq mts), and Ghaziabad (25 sq mts).
The license also extends to in-train advertising rights across 16 Namo Bharat trains and 9 Meerut Metro (MRTS) trainsets.
Multiple formats for advertisement opportunities will be available, including fixed panels, digital screens, overhead grab handles, seat headrests, glass panels, and luggage racks, offering brands significant opportunities to engage commuters on-board.
The Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor spans 82 km across Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut, with strategically located stations offering extensive brand visibility.
Passing through densely populated areas, it attracts a diverse commuter base from all walks of life. For the first time in the country, unprecedented emphasis has been placed on Multi-Modal Integration.
Stations such as Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan exemplify this, being seamlessly connected with Delhi Metro, Indian Railways, ISBT, and city bus services. This translates into higher footfall and enhanced brand exposure, providing advertisers with unmatched reach and recall value.
Further, in a pioneering initiative, local Metro services will be provided in Meerut on the same infrastructure of Namo Bharat, adding another dimension to the commuter base.
Stations like Begumpul, which will be a stop for both Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro trains, are located in the heart of Meerut’s main market and will further enhance advertising potential. Since its launch in October 2023, the corridor has already witnessed about 1.88 crore passenger journeys, underlining its rapid acceptance and growing ridership.
With daily ridership steadily increasing and full operations across the 82-km corridor set to commence soon, advertisers stand to benefit from ever-expanding advertising opportunities and a captive commuter base.
The tender offers a license period of 10 years. (BVI)
