Mumbai, Feb 23: Torrent Group has launched a Diagnostics vertical, marking its entry into healthcare services.
Operations have commenced with the start of a National Reference Laboratory in Navi Mumbai, the company said in a statement.
The Laboratory spans over 100,000 square feet and supports 15 diagnostic disciplines and more than 3,500 test modalities covering preventive, routine and specialised testing, it said.
Testing services include molecular diagnostics, genomics, digital pathology, microbiology, immunology, transplant-related testing and infectious disease workflows.
The laboratory offers one of the most extensive test menus in the country, supported by advanced capabilities such as Next Generation Sequencing, MALDI-TOF, BSL-3 containment and the first Transmission Electron Microscope in a standalone diagnostics lab in Western India, the company said.
