National, Aug 26 (BVI) Audiences in India can have a rare opportunity to watch the iconic movie ‘The Godfather’ trilogy in 4K in theaters.
It is because of PVR INOX, India’s largest and most premium cinema exhibitor, which is bringing the masterpiece in the world cinema back to the big screen.
The ‘Godfather’ movie, first released in 1972, set new benchmarks in cinematic storytelling and went on to become one of the most celebrated films in the history of cinema.
Its sequels, ‘The Godfather Part II was released in 1974 and ‘The Godfather Part III’ in 1990, cementing the trilogy as a cornerstone of global cinema.
The ‘Godfather’ will be re-released in select PVR INOX cinemas across India, on September 12, followed by its Part II on October 17 and Part III on November 14, it was announced today.
Directed by Francis Ford Coppola and based on Mario Puzo’s bestselling novel, The Godfather trilogy is widely regarded as the greatest achievement in American cinema.
With unforgettable performances by Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, and Robert De Niro, and a score that echoes through film history, these films shaped the language of cinema for generations and continue to influence filmmakers across the world.
