Ahmedabad, June 20: An Indian vessel, carrying Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) has reached the Gujarat port after safe transition through the Strait of Hormuz.
The vessel, LNGC Disha, reached Dahej Port in Bharuch district during the day and is currently anchored at the Petronet LNG jetty.
Its arrival comes after the United States and Iran signed an agreement aimed at ending hostilities and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a vital artery for global oil and gas trade.
Dahej, home to one of India’s largest LNG import terminals operated by Petronet LNG, is a critical hub for the country’s natural gas supplies.
The safe arrival of the vessel is expected to support the continued flow of LNG imports to meet domestic energy demand. (BVI)
