Installation of 300th Kavach anti-collision system on trains completed

New Delhi, May 22: Installation of the 300th ‘Kavach’, an anti-collision system on trains, has been successfully completed by the Indian Railways.

The installation was done by Electric Loco Shed, Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh under Indian Railways last week.

With this achievement, the shed has completed the 100th, 200th and 300th Kavach system at the fastest pace.

Along with this, Electric Loco Shed, Ghaziabad, has achieved another important milestone by completing the Kavach installation work of loco number 30623/WAP-7 in a single day at the fastest pace in the entire Indian Railways.

Additionally, Electric Loco Shed, Ghaziabad successfully organized seven one-day training sessions on armor installation, attended by a total of 309 officers and supervisors from 71 loco sheds across Indian Railways.

These training sessions facilitated the exchange of technical knowledge and installation procedures for the Kavach system, which will help improve efficiency and reliability at various sheds.

This achievement is a testament to the team spirit, technical expertise, and dedication of the officers and staff of Electric Loco Shed, Ghaziabad, who are contributing significantly towards ensuring safe and modern train operations on Indian Railways.
