New Delhi, May 10: CJI Surya Kant on Monday announced two major digital initiatives aimed at modernising India’s judicial system and improving public access to court services.

The Chief Justice revealed the launch of the “One Case One Data” initiative, a nationwide digital integration project designed to unify case-related information from High Courts, district courts, and taluka courts into a single interconnected system.

What Is ‘One Case One Data’?

The initiative aims to create a centralised judicial database that can streamline case management across courts in India.

According to the CJI, the system will:

  • Integrate multi-level court information
  • Improve coordination between courts
  • Enable faster and more efficient case tracking
  • Strengthen digital case management nationwide

The project is expected to simplify judicial processes for judges, lawyers, litigants, and court staff alike.

Supreme Court Launches AI Chatbot ‘Su Sahay’

Alongside the data initiative, the Supreme Court also launched an AI-powered assistance chatbot named Su Sahay.

Integrated directly into the Supreme Court website, the chatbot has been developed by the National Informatics Centre in collaboration with the Supreme Court Registry.

The AI assistant is designed to:

  • Help citizens navigate Supreme Court services
  • Provide front-end legal guidance
  • Assist litigants with basic court-related queries
  • Improve accessibility to judicial information

Push Towards Digital Judiciary

The Chief Justice said these initiatives are part of a broader effort to build a more efficient and technology-driven judicial ecosystem in India.

He also praised court officials and technical teams involved in developing the projects, expressing confidence that the new systems would benefit all stakeholders connected to the judiciary.

The move reflects the Indian judiciary’s growing focus on digital transformation, AI integration, and public-friendly legal access systems.
