New Delhi, Mar 31: Indus Towers Limited has appointed Venkatesh Tiwari as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), forming part of Senior Management Personnel (‘SMP’) effective April 1.

The move to appoint Tiwari, who is currently with Amazon, is part of a planned leadership transition following the upcoming retirement of current COO Tejinder Singh Kalra on August 31, 2026, the company said.

Venkatesh Tiwari has nearly 28 years of leadership experience across e‑commerce, telecommunications, consumer electronics and logistics.

“Over the years, he has built a reputation for leading high-energy, customer-focused teams and driving transformation across complex businesses,” the company said.

He has played a pivotal role in driving some of Amazon India’s most ambitious initiatives, including building the fastest quick-commerce launch in Amazon’s global network, strategic partnerships and expanding Amazon coverage to entire pin codes of the country.

These initiatives helped redefine delivery speed, reliability, and accessibility for millions of customers and sellers.
